Check out the website below for some cool free sound effects!! I'm looking into stuff like this because I'm trying to start a sports podcast. And I'm trying to do it the right way. You'll find out here when it gets up and running. If you know anything about copyright stuff you might be able to help me with, let me know. I'm not trying to get a huge fine for anything that I use.

Super Commercials

So, we all watched the Super Bowl. It was a great game and the best team one in the end. But the game isnt the only thing that is being watched that day. The commercials sometimes are just as good as the game. Pepsi products did really well in my book, taking 3 out of the top spots on my list. Here are my Top Commercials. Let me know what you think. Also, if you have some better ones, let me know.

Pepsi - I'm Good

Teleflora - Talking Flowers

Monster - Need a new Job?

Taco Bell - Overrated

Doritos - Crystal Ball

Bow to the Brow

I saw this the other day on ESPN. It's pretty funny that a guy that was at my school just last year, is getting national attention for his unibrow. Joe Cool had a pretty good year this year, leading his team to the playoffs and becoming the first rookie to win 2 playoff games. It's pretty awesome.

Anyway, the superbowl is just a couple of days away, and I don't know about all the other people out there, but I am sick and tired of all the talk leading up to the big game. It seems like you cant go very far with out hearing about it. And now your going to get my opinion on the game. You have the number one defense in Pittsburgh going up against one of the best offenses in Arizona. It can either be a really great game, or a really boring one. We'll have to see on Sunday. Personally, I want to see the Arizona Cardinals win, because of the person that their quarterback, Kurt Warner, is. He is a stand up human being, and a Christian. All that said, I think the final score will be 21-17 Steelers.

Ok, with the Super Bowl comes the biggest gambling day of the year. Of course, not only can you bet on the score of the game and who will win, but you can also bet on prop bets. These prop bets are pretty crazy. Who will win the coin toss, who will be the MVP, and total points of the game vs. Lebron James points are just some of them. You know you addicted to gambling when you bet on that last one. It's crazy, and sad at the same time. I do not gamble, except when I try some of my sister's cooking (haha, just a joke, she doesnt cook), and can't imagine how desperate you have to be to bet on these items.

Also with the Super Bowl comes some of the best commercials of the year. If you watch the game, be sure to tune in on Monday for my Top 5 commercials in this year's Super Bowl.

Spring Training for the Phillies start in 15 days when pitchers and catchers report. After winning the World Series last year, they are going to have a tough time on their hands to defend that title. They still have a good majority of their players back, and if things continue to progress, they will be just as good as they were last year. It will be a good year and I plan on making a trip down to a couple of games this year.

That's it for tonight. Pretty tired after doing homework for a while. Gotta love the school work. Anyway, Until next time...

Bolivia '09

This is a picture from 2 years ago, a missions trip to Tijuana, Mexico. This upcoming summer, I will be going on a mission's trip to Bolivia. I have no clue who I am going with yet, because the applications are not due until February 1st. So far, I really don't know a lot of people that are going. But it's not about how many go, but it is about the work done. I have been on 3 missions trips so far in my life; Pittsburgh, Romania, and Mexico. On each missions trip, God continues to move in my life, the lives of the people on the trip, and the lives of the people that we are ministering to. Currently there is not alot of information available about the trip, as in the stuff that we will be doing on the trip. But now is the time to start praying for the trip, for God's hand to minister to everyone involved on the trip. I also have to raised a good amount of money for the trip. With the economy tight, I know this will be tough. But God is in control, and if it is his plan for me to go on this trip, he will provide. He is Jehovah Jireh, my provider. All I can do is put my trust in Him

Yes, Mr. President

When you are called to serve your country that is what you do. You serve. Last Tuesday was the Presidential Inauguration for the 44th President of the United States, and the University of Delaware Marching Band was called to represent their state, and their country in the Inaugural Parade.

On a cold January afternoon practice began for us. It was Sunday, and we practiced into the late night Sunday (yes we missed the playoff games) and then we continued to practice all day on Monday until we left for the Fairfax, VA High School that we would be spending the "night" in. I say "night" because we went to sleep at 11 pm, and had to be up at 3 am. Not really a night if you ask me. But we headed to the pentagon for the security screening. And then sat and waited. Then after we were screened, we sat and waited to actually be taken into the city. As we are driving into the city, it was amazing to see how many people were there. Back streets were packed about 100 people deep. It was absolutely crazy. Once in the city, we had to get out of the bus ASAP and into our warming tents. In there we were able to eat our lunch that was provided for us, as well as watch the Inauguration ceremony. It was a very cool thing to watch with all of your friends around you.

It was then that the real fun began. Standing outside for hours. We stood there. In the city. In the cold. Waiting. It was very cold, and I was worried that someone might not make it out alive. We had no clue why until we returned home and learned that a Kennedy had a seizure. It figures it would be a Kennedy (but thank God he is ok). Once the parade actually started the warmth was returned to my entire body. It felt great. And then the experience of a life time: walking past our President, Vice President and their families in the viewing booth. It was absolutely amazing. Now, I did not vote for Obama, and I do not believe some of the things that he believes, but he is still the President of the United States and it was an honor to serve.

Here are some videos that you can watch that shows the band performing:

There are many more out there and I also have a few pictures, but I can not find the chord to my camera to put a few on. As soon as I find them I will.

Tomorrow I will update you on the missions trip that I will be going on this summer.

Catch ya Later

Psychic Proportions

Alright...so ive been trying forever now to publish this post and have finally gotten to it.

Currently on TV, there are 2 shows that seem very similar. You have all those crimes shows out there: CSI, CSI: New York, CSI: Miami, NCIS. It started with CSI, and all those other ones were soon to follow. Well now there is a new "model" series: Psych. If you have ever seen this show, you know how good it is. It combines great humor, with the classic mystery. But now there is another show taking the same type of style, called The Mentalist. This show adds a little bit more seriousness. But both shows take the same principle. There is one guy, who is a very good observer, which causes him to solve crimes. Plain and simple. I love both of these shows. But they both get you thinking: if I only looked around at my surrounding just a little bit more, would i be able to figure more things out?

So we are now 3 weeks through 24, a total of 6 hours gone in the day. The one hour shows definetly dont have enough to them. It is so hard to watch the one hour show after the two hour ones. But so far 24 has been the best yet. Lots of new twists and turns every week. It always leaves me satisfied, smiling, and wanting more (that's what she said...haha).

Movie Review of the Week: John Q

This movie was not too bad. I enjoyed it. The beginning was a little boring, and it was kind of hard to tell where the movie was actually going. All in all this movie has a really good message: You will do anything for those that you love.
